"I'm a designer who no longer designs" — Andrea Guertin (Head of Design, Kyndryl Canada) TEASER
TEASER TEASER TEASER "I'm a designer who no longer designs" — Andrea Guertin (Head of Design & Co-creation, Kyndryl) Tune in as Andrea shares her unique perspective on design, consulting, and the non-linear ways of thinking that shape her journey. Here's what you can expect: 🔹 Design Thinking Beyond Pixels: Andrea discusses how design encompasses more than just moving pixels. It's about thoughtful curation and creating meaningful experiences. 🔹 From Formal Training to Real-World Application: Despite her extensive formal training, Andrea only truly encountered the concept of design thinking upon joining a management consulting firm. This highlights how design principles can emerge in different professional contexts, sometimes unexpectedly. 🔹 Authenticity in Design Practice: Andrea emphasizes the importance of living and breathing design thinking as a way of life rather than viewing it merely as a job. True designers integrate conscientiousness into every aspect of their life and work, making their design approach holistic and impactful. Listen to the teaser now, and stay tuned for the full episode! #DesignThinking #Podcast #DesignLeadership #ManagementConsulting #DotsPodcast

MASD Blitz 2014: The Feel Good Project
For the 2014 Social Design / Project M Blitz, 5 MASD students started the "Feel Good Project" aimed to infuse some extra positivity in the MICA Community. We all appreciate the boost of a compliment and the feeling of making someone else's day, so it is simple: give one, take one. Give an anonymous compliment for someone else, and receive one in return. Watch the 60-second video showing off the wild success of the day. Over 200+ compliments were exchanged during the few hours around lunch, touching students, faculty, and staff alike. Keep the project going by learning more at http://feelgoodproject.org or using the hashtag #feelgood project. Team Members: Andrea Brown Anne Marie Jasinowski Emily Pinna Vincent Purcell Nico Vitti
